Frequently Asked Questions

(Real questions asked by real customers!)

1) Does it hurt?

Just enough sting to make it exciting! It feels like getting hit with a rubber band—a quick, minor sting. You probably won't even notice because you'll be too busy laughing.

2) Do they leave a stain or residue?

Nope! Gel Blasters blast biodegradable Gellets™. Gellets™ are small, colorful, water-based beads that are eco friendly, biodegradable, nontoxic and all natural. When Gellets burst on contact they instantly start to evaporate, meaning in 15 minutes or so POOF all evidence of battle is gone!

3) How far do they blast?

The Gel Blaster Surge blasts up to 100ft, although we recommend playing at close range. It's much more fun.

4) Are Gel Blasters safe?

Absolutely. Gellets™ are soft and squishy, but they do travel up to 170fps, meaning they will sting a bit when they hit you. We recommend wearing long sleeves and pants when playing to negate some of that sting, especially for smaller children. Protective goggles are required (and provided) at Midway Paintball.

5) If we have non-players, can we stay and watch?
Yes, non-players are welcome at no additional cost! They can hang out in the staging area and watch from the safe side. Note: Only 1 course can be seen from the staging area. Only players are allowed on the playing fields.

6) Do you allow for us to bring drinks and snacks for the players since it may be a hot day?
Absolutely, we encourage it! We don't have power so please bring an ice chest. We do have tables and they're under cover 🙂

7) Are there food options?
Check out this deal from Mountain Mikes!

8) If we have more than 10 players, do you need to know ahead of time or can we pay for them upon arrival?

You can save $5 per person by paying in advance at the time you book your reservation or you can pay on the day of the event for any extra players. Note: Prepaid folks are not refundable so you'll want to make sure they're coming if you choose this option.

9) We live about an hour away from your site- how early do we need to arrive for a 9am-12pm time slot?

Arrive at 9am. You will go to your designated table where your referee will be waiting for you :-)

10) What kind of shoes and clothes should we wear?

Open-toed shoes are not allowed. Please wear comfortable shoes you aren't afraid of getting dirty. We do not recommend wearing tight-fitting clothes, shorts or sleeveless tops.

11) Is it okay if not all 10 of my people make it to the reservation? Is there a discount?

Yes, that's okay if not everyone makes it. There is no discount, but if your reservation includes gellets you will still receive all of it.

12) When do we take a break to eat and have the birthday cake?

You can take your break anytime during the reservation. We chose to offer 2-hour reservations to allow time for a good safety-briefing and celebrations!

13) Can the waiver be filled out in advance?

Yes. Waivers can be filled out in advance here and they are good for one year. We do not have paper waivers.
